It'll work if you're bringing a large enough audience with you there. That's the only way Instagram works for artists now. It was a decent platform until late 2015 or so, when it started changing to the current emphasis on video & posting 2,5497x per day. After TikTok came out, Insta came up with "reels" in order to tap into the same market (gen Alpha). In light of all that, Instaspam is a piss-poor platform for traditional visual artists--or even for not-so-trad ones who make still images.
